17th Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by helping Mum prepare dinner. I couldn't do much else because I was sick but I could still help prepare dinner. It was easier for my Mum because she didn't have to worry about preparing it.

16th Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by helping my Dad put up some more curtains in his room. It's hard work as we had to attach every single hook on the curtain to the wall. I felt happy to help him because he needed some help and we got through the job much quicker with my help. I also felt happy to help him because I saw that he needed help.

How I have made a difference

15th Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by helping David bring in the projector and laptops. I knew that he felt happy that I helped him because he was the only one that was bringing them in. I felt good to help him because I didn't have anything else to do.

14th Day Making A Difference

There were dirty dishes everywhere so I decided to wash them for my Mum. I usually dont make my bed and clean my room either so I did them aswell. I think that my Mum felt happy that I did those jobs for her so she didn't have to clean up my own mess. I felt happy to help her because I never clean my room so I thought I should.

13th Day Making A Difference

Today I washed my Grandma's car. It was very dirty and needed cleaning so I did it for her. I felt like I should do that before because I have never washed her car before. I knew that she felt happy because she thanked me and offered me money but I didn't take it.

11th Day Making A Difference

Today I was at my friends house and we were having a swim. My friends Dad had a lot of rubbish to get rid of so we took the rubbish down to the tip for him. It was good to help my friends dad out because he was busy and needed to get rid off the rubbish quickly. I knew he was happy because he thanked me and I was happy to help him out as I didn't have much to do.

10th Day Making A Difference

Today me and my friend were at an internet cafe. We were there for an hour and we had to both pay for another hour buy my friend didn't have enough money. I had plenty of money so I payed for him. I could tell that he was happy because he thanked me and we could continue playing on the computers. I felt good to help out my friend because I had plenty of money and it would of been selfish not to.

9th Day Making A Difference

My Mum needed help with the dishes so I decided to help her. Since we don't have a dishwasher it is hard for Mum to wash and dry the dishes. I didn't have anything else to do so I thought I should make her day a little easier by doing that. I knew I made a difference because she thanked me and I did it without being asked. I felt good to help her because I didn't have anything else to do.

8th Day Making A Difference

My Auntie was visiting today to pick up my Grandma's lawn mower. Since my Grandma couldn't bring the mower up to the front of her house because of her broken leg, I thought I should do it. I knew that she was happy because she thanked me and so did my Auntie. I felt good to do that so my Grandma didn't have to worry about it with her leg.

7th Day Making A Difference

Taking out the rubbish isn't quite the nicest job but I did it for my Grandma because she had a broken leg. Im sure she wouldn't of wanted to take out the rubbish with a broken leg so I helped her out without asking. I could tell she was happy because she gave me some cake and I also felt happy to help her out.

6th Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by helping my Grandma with the computer. She doesn't know much about computers so I taught her some important things like how to use her e-mail and using other programs. I felt happy to teach her those skills because she wants to get better at computers and I helped her do that. She was also happy because she was stuck before I came and helped her.

5th Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by helping my Dad do chores and start up dinner. I didn't have anything else to do so I thought I should help him out when he needs help. I was happy that I did this because then he didn't have to do as much work and we could get dinner ready sooner. I'm sure my Dad was pleased to because he didn't have to do all the work.

4th Day Making A Difference

Today me, my friend and his brother went down to the dairy to get some drinks but they didn't have enough money to buy anything for themselves. I had a lot of money so I got them a drink each. I knew that they were happy because it was very hot so they needed a drink and they thanked me. I felt good to help them because it would be selfish getting something on my own and not sharing my money.

3rd Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by helping my Dad putting up his new curtain in his bedroom. I think he was both surprised and happy that I did this for him because he didn't expect me to do it as he didn't ask me and he didn't have to do the work that I did for him. I felt good to do that job for my Dad so he didn't have to do it himself.

2nd Day Making A Difference

Today I made a difference by taking in the recycling bin for my Grandma, setting up dinner for Dad and then packing it up. I knew both of them were happy because they were busy and didn't have time to do those jobs so they thanked me. I felt good and happy that I helped with those jobs because it is one less thing for them to worry about.
